Description
Description | Norwegian utility Statkraft will not pursue its plan to build a 57 MWp solar park with an associated battery storage system in Niederlauken, western Germany, as the project is no longer economically viable. The project was planned on an area of up to 43 hectares and could have generated up to 60 GWh of renewable energy annually, enough to supply more than 17,000 households. The decision was due to new municipal regulations limiting installation area and requiring a dedicated substation, making the investment costs exceed expected revenues. |
