Niger - Second Road Project Study

The Second Road Project Study concerns 380 km of trunk roads and about 200 km of feeder roads. It aims to determine the optimal solutions for the rehabilitation of the Sabongari-Kamba-Gaya road section, the development of the Tibiri-Dakoro and Madoua-Tahoua road sections and the main feeder roads. This study falls under the PRIT formulated by the Government to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of the transport system through the rehabilitation and modernization of the infrastructure required for opening up and promoting domestic and sub-regional trade. Its execution is articulated around two (2) successive phases: A) Phase I: Economic feasibility studies, technical and studies of the socio-economic and environmental impacts; B) Phase II: Detailed technical study and preparation of bidding documents. Implementation of the works stemming from this study will help to open up the regions crossed and promote regional economic integration. The estimated cost is UA 1.45 million with an execution period of fifteen (15) months.
