Description
Description | The proposed MIC-TAF Support activity is a result of the deeper engagement and dialogue the Bank currently has with the Nigerian government, complementing the delivery of the Bank’s current and planned operations and strategy in the country. More importantly, the study will come out with some recommendations based on their work to identify the viability of clusters within 6 areas with the objective of spurring industrial and economic transformation in these areas. In addition, the proposed MIC-TAF grant will help drive the country’s industrial transformation, SMEs development, enhance the effectiveness of SMEDAN in executing its mandate, strengthen its credibility and pave the way for the federal and state governments to mobilise additional sources of funding to ensure the sustainability of their governments. The Industrial Clusters project development plan might reference this study in validating the comparative advantage of each cluster to be located in states or regions. The issue of comparative advantage and other criteria will be given consideration in the determination of types of industrial activities in each cluster. The total cost of the project is UA423, 600 (or USD 600,000) this amount covers the costs of conducting the feasibility study, an external audit and a workshop session after study is completed. |
