Nigeria National Single Window Project

operational

The National Single Window project is a digital trade facilitation platform designed to streamline import processes, reduce bureaucracy at the ports, and improve cargo clearance efficiency in Nigeria. The platform unifies and digitizes trade-related processes across multiple government agencies, eliminating manual processes, duplication, and redundant documentation. The first phase went live on March 27, 2026, with pilot testing for cargo manifest submissions led by DHL for air cargo and a shipping line for sea cargo. The project aims to reduce port inefficiencies and lower trade costs, addressing an estimated $4 billion in annual losses due to red tape and bureaucratic delays.
