Description

The project entails the concession of Nikola Tesla airport, Belgrade, Serbia. SPV is Vinci Airports Serbia d.o.o. a wholly owned subsidiary of VINCI. The sponsor covers $ 639.81 million while the rest of the finance ($ 478.16 million) is provided as a debt by IFC’s €72 million A loan and a €110 million B loan under IFC’s syndication umbrella. European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing the same amounts in A and B loans. IFC, EBRD, Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft (DEG) 22.4 million EURO and Societe de Promotion et de Participation pour la Cooperation Economique SA (Proparco) 33.6 million EURO, were lead arrangers on the project. Six commercial banks (Banca IMI, Unicredit, Erste Group, Kommunalkredit, CIC and Societe General) are mobilized to participate in the financing through IFC’s and EBRD’s B loan umbrella. The capacity of the facility should increase from 5.3 million annual visitors to 14 million according to the 25 years concession agreement. Financial close took place on December 23, 2018.
