Nikopolska Solar Power Plant

The project entails the design and construction of the solar power plant (SPP) located in Nikopol, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine. The capacity of the facility is 200 MW. The latter will be built and financed by Ukraine’s largest private power producer DTEK and China Machinery Engineering Corp (CMEC). The project cost is being estimated at approximately $282 million and is secured by the sponsors. The solar facility will be granted a tariff of €0.1502 ($0.1863)/kWh (under Ukrainian FIT scheme). The Nikopolska SPP will supply more than 280 mln kWh of “green” energy annually. This quantity will suffice to satisfy the demand of 100 thousand households. The construction start was put on April 6, 2018.
