Description | The project will improve active transportation by constructing sidewalks along Skateen Drive in the Nisga’a Village of New Aiyansh. The sidewalk will ensure the safety of pedestrians while walking in the area between the Gitlaxt’aamiks Village Government building and the school. Currently the Village does not have sidewalks on its main road. This stand-alone phase will be the beginning of creating a safe network throughout the Village. The project works include: - mobilization and demobilization; - installation of approx. 475m of concrete sidewalk; - installation of concrete curb and tie-ins to existing asphalt road; - installation of drainage including piping and culverts; - installation of signage and line painting; and, - all related works. |
