Nisqually State Park is a new state park being developed through a collaborative partnership with the Nisqually Indian Tribe. Nisqually State Park lies at the confluence the Nisqually River, Ohop Creek and Mashel River, and is a site of natural, cultural and historic significance. Interpretative signage is the publics connection to the Nisqually people's heritage to the area and the natural environment being preserved for future generations. The project will provide interpretive exhibits, trails and viewing areas throughout the park that explain the natural area and cultural significance from the Nisqually Indian Tribe’s perspective with self-guided media including kiosks, interpretative panels, bulletin boards and maps.
