Description | The Nisutlin Bay Bridge replacement project involves constructing a new bridge beside the old Alaska Highway bridge at Teslin, Yukon. The project is the largest capital project in Yukon history, with construction starting in 2022. The replacement bridge's cost has risen to nearly $194 million due to changes in Fisheries Act authorization and remediation work required for soil conditions at the bridge abutments. The Yukon government terminated the contract with the original engineer, WSP, to bring in different expertise for the remediation work and to move the project forward. |
