The double-deck fleet is intended to add capacity, improve reliability, increase passenger comfort, and replace legacy single-level cars that have been in service for over 40 years. The new vehicles are designed to travel up to 110 mph and include USB charging ports and digital signs. The first vehicle delivered is a power car developed in partnership with NJ Transit, allowing train consists to operate without locomotives. |
