Description | Nigeria's state hydrocarbon company NNPC has decided to partner with investors/technical partners to run its four crude oil refining plants located in three states, with NNPC taking a minority but decisive stake. The decision follows a company-wide asset audit and portfolio benchmarking exercise. The focus is initially on the two refineries in Port Harcourt, with plans to proceed to the Warri and Kaduna refineries. The refineries have a total nameplate capacity of 445,000 Barrels Per Stream Day (BPSD) and have undergone refurbishment funded by approximately $3 billion approved by Nigeria's Federal Executive Council between 2019 and mid-2023. |
