Description
Description | Project NO 1(one) Behind is about to increase the participation of children and youth with disabilities in sport and to leave no one behind parallel to promote an active and ecological lifestyle for having active citizenship, strengthening the integrity and values in sports, supporting a sustainable sports policy, as well as ensuring sectoral collaboration to raise awareness of the contribution that sport can make. Sport can contribute for more inclusive societies and leave no one behind, but it is necessary to be guided by the principle of accessible programs for all, regardless of the barriers we face in our daily lives. Through sport children can learn valuable life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and communication, which can be applied in all areas of their lives. By including children with disabilities in sport, we can create a more inclusive and equitable society, where everyone can reach their full potential. This project offers training activities aimed at involving children with fewer opportunities, training for trainers as well as for the founders of new organizations. These training activities will be aimed at creating opportunities for the exchange of best practices, building competencies, and encouraging innovative ideas regarding inclusion measures. Also, children should grow up in healthy environments where their health will be maintained and not impaired. The foundation for healthy growth is laid in early childhood and behaviours acquired in the early years shape our lives as adults and influence lifelong health. Children spend a large part of their time in schools and recreational facilities, and that's why we need to provide a healthy living environment there. We want to offer easily accessible recreational activities for children and people with disabilities, activities that encourage them to get active and that bring more sports and exercise into their leisure time and daily routines. |
