Description
Description | -Construction of storm water management pond: Constructed as per Compliance Approval 1428-92RP2N. Constructed completed with forebay, two 600mm diameter inlet culverts, and one 1200mm diameter manhole outlet structure with a 600mm outlet pipe, and a 3m wide overflow spillway. Perimeter ditches to be shaped along eastern/northern limit of future waste, involving excavation, grading and seeding. -Litter fence installation: installed immediately outside the existing limit of waste, spanning a 240m section. The proposed litter fence will be constructed using recycled hydro poles and litter (debris) netting with a 100mm x 100mm opening. The little fence will extend to a height of 4.5m. -Vegetated perimeter screening berms: constructed to a height of 2m with 3H:1V side slopes. Constructed with surplus material excavated in construction of storm water management pond, and vegetated with hydroseeding and tree planting. A 140m row of coniferous trees will be planted along the western boundary. -Automated gate system: a boom style barrier gate system will be installed within the access road, adjacent to the scale house. The barrier system will consist of two boom barriers, controlled from a single base. The barriers will be operated by a push button system, under the Site Operator’s control. The system will include installation of the gates, base, conduit and wiring, as well as electrical connections and programming. -Final cover: Final cover will be installed over completed areas (IE areas having reached approved final waste grades) within the southern portion of the landfill, covering an estimated area of 15000m2. The final cover will consist of 0.15m of vegetated topsoil, 0.15m sand drainage layer, a geocomposite clay liner, non-woven textile, and 0.5m of common fill material. There are also engineering services included within the cost figures. |
