The Noida International Airport is nearing readiness for its first commercial flight, featuring a 3,900-metre runway and a modern terminal built with steel and glass. The airport spans 1,334 hectares and includes two runways along with a terminal capable of handling 12 million passengers annually. The project was executed by Tata Projects, with Yamuna International Airport Pvt Ltd as the concessionaire. The airport was officially inaugurated on March 28, 2026, and is awaiting final regulatory clearances before commencing operations. Future expansion plans include increasing capacity to 30 million passengers in Phase 2 and up to 70 million passengers across four phases with a total investment of nearly Rs 30,000 crore. The terminal design incorporates Indian cultural elements and aims to create a modern yet culturally rooted travel experience.
