Noida International Airport Phase-I

The first phase of the Noida International Airport at Jewar in Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddha Nagar district is inaugurated. The airport is built under a public-private partnership model with an estimated cost of ₹11,200 crore. Phase-I will handle about 12 million passengers per annum initially, with plans to scale up to 70 million passengers annually. It features a 3,900-metre runway capable of handling wide-body aircraft, advanced navigation systems, an integrated cargo terminal and logistics hub, and a dedicated 40-acre Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility. The project aims for net-zero emissions and is designed with traditional Indian architectural elements. It is strategically located along the Yamuna Expressway and planned as a multi-modal hub with connectivity to road, rail, and metro networks.
