This micro-project, which ties in with the events of the Nocturnales (a producer of heritage-related theatrical productions), proposes a poetic reading of heritage through different means of artistic expression (dance, music, theatre, sets and performances) whose 'heritage operas' are original creations hinged around the cathedrals of Tournai and Lille. By turning the monument into a dramatic backdrop, the history of the place is highlighted, along with its symbolic meaning and its hidden soul. The multidisciplinary show uses cutting-edge technologies, in particular video-mapping and monumental laser projections, to reconstitute and magnify the architecture of the buildings, while relying on the exchange and mobility of cross-border spectators.
