NOLA Loop Tunnel Project

New Orleans was named as one of three finalists for a free one-mile tunnel loop project to improve city transit, courtesy of Elon Musk's The Boring Company. The project is part of the 'Tunnel Vision Challenge' contest inviting applicants to pitch their best one-mile tunnel ideas. The Boring Company will conduct a rigorous diligence process including meetings with officials, geotechnical borings, and utility investigations to determine feasibility before funding and building the project.
