Nolans Rare Earths Mine

under construction

The Nolans mine is a rare earths mining and processing project located 135 kilometres north of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, Australia. It aims to extract and process rare earths to produce NdPr oxide, used in electric vehicle motors, renewable energy, defense technology, and advanced manufacturing. The project includes the construction of Australia's first ore-to-oxide rare earths facility with a sulphuric acid plant for processing. The federal government has committed to purchasing up to 500 tonnes of NdPr oxide per year, supporting the project through public funding and strategic agreements.
