Description
Description | Main objective : The NOBA projects studies the information systems security and aims to demonstrate the feasibility of a nomad strong authentication based on acquiring and merging biometric data (fingerprints, voice, iris …) and to create a prototype. A lot of economical and societal outcomes are expected towards the end of the project: stronger partnerships between the University of Kent and the ESIGELEC, creation of a SMEs cross-border network, new services and products in the field of dematerialization for several sectors (telecommunication, E-banking, E-administration, E-healthcare …) and improvement of the SMEs’ competitiveness. Main actions : - Realization of a state of the art - Data fusion and classification - Sensor design and hardware for signal processing - Integration of face recognition - Low-resolution image processing for biometric features extraction - Video sequence acquisition - Intelligent feature evaluation and selection for iris recognition - Integration in a dematerialization workflow - System evaluation - Feasibility study on embedded system - Added-value of other biometric techniques |
