Nomad Solar Plant

The project entails the construction of a 28 MW solar plant in close to the village of Zhalagash, Kyzylorda region, Kazakhstan. SPV is Nomad Solar LLP, a JV between Total Eren SA and Access Infra Central Asia Ltd. The plant will have 120,862 Canadian Solar multicrystalline modules with dual-axis trackers. They will be connected to 12 Sungrow SG2500 HV-MV (1.5kV) inverters. In February 2017, Total signed a 15-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Financial Settlement Center for Renewable Energy Sources (FSC), which is owned by the Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC). The total cost of the project is KZT 13 billion (EUR 30.5 million/$ 33.8 million). European Bank for Reconstruction and Development provided KZT 9.8 billion ($26.4 million) Financial close was expected in the weeks of July 2019. EPC contractor is METKA EGN, a subsidiary of MYTILINEOS SA.
