With the production of this 26' TV one-off Non-Non dans l'Espace, Autour de Minuit - an Oscar-winning animation studio and producer celebrating its 20th anniversary - intends to pursue the development on its territory, in Europe and internationally of the Non-Non brand, adapted from Magali le Huche's successful albums published by Bayard Editions. After the production of a series of 52 episodes of 7' and 2 specials of 26' each, Non-Non dans l'Espace will allow to develop the notoriety of the universe and to increase its audience with the following objectives: - to develop projects adapted from this universe, in terms of volume (number of episodes), formats (series, TV one-offs, cinema program compiling the TV one-offs), and types of exploitation (TV, VOD, theaters, derivative editions); - to support the launch of a second season of Non-Non with Canal+; - to develop a new European co-production with Bardaf! Productions, a Belgian company that is itself bringing a non-French-language broadcaster for co-production, VRT-Ketnet; - to conquer new international markets, both for the series and for the specials; - to improve the artistic quality of the adaptation of this universe, with talents proposed by the Belgian co-producer; - to open new perspectives in terms of cinematographic exploitations in Europe by proposing a feature film format of 80' with the compilation of the 3 one-offs;; - to develop a range of derivative editions, in partnership with Bayard Editions, and licensing products. The expected grant from Creative Europe’s Media program will allow us to complete the financing and raise the quality of this TV one-off to a cinema level for theatrical release and to multiply the broadcasting possibilities. Finally, Non-Non dans l'Espace will fit naturally into the rich and varied catalog offered by Autour de Minuit, composed of series, TV one-offs, shorts and feature films with a strong European and international influence.
