Description

Description

Nordisk Film Distribution_Denmark_Reinvestment proposal_Call 2025 Nordisk Film is one of the leading distributors and producers of Scandinavian films in Scandinavia. In Nordisk Film Distribution A/S we acquire around 25 Nordic titles pr. year of which 10-15 are Danish films. Usually, Nordic rights for the films are acquired through an MG (Minimum Guarantee) negotiated with the respective producers. On certain projects, Nordisk Film Distribution A/S also invest in or co-produce films. Projects are normally bought on a manuscript-basis. However, in some cases, Nordisk Film Distribution A/S provides support for films that are in earlier stages of development. Most of the Danish titles derive from Nordisk Film's own production company Nordisk Film Production and associated production company Zentropa. The rest of the projects come from a wide range of external production companies. Danish titles are always distributed theatrically and subsequently released on EST and TVOD across the Nordic countries. After this, the films are sold in the following release windows to broadcasters and streamers in Scandinavia. Nordisk Film Distribution A/S also releases non-local Scandinavian titles theatrically in the other Nordic territories, which means that 2-3 Swedish and Norwegian titles are released in Denmark each year and 2-3 Danish titles are released in Norway, Sweden and sometimes Finland yearly. Nordisk Film doesn't have a fixed Nordic acquisition budget, as it depends on the projects coming in each year.
