Phase 2 of the North Coast Transmission Line project involves building approximately 275 kilometres of new 500-kV transmission line between the Glenannan substation near Fraser Lake and the Skeena substation south of Terrace, including substation expansions and related infrastructure. The project aims to deliver more electricity from the interior to the northwest coast, with construction activities including vegetation clearing, road building, access development, and increased helicopter activity. The project is expected to generate significant employment and economic benefits while reducing emissions.
