Description | BC Hydro is relocating and repurposing the majority of its Site C work camp to support the construction of the North Coast Transmission Line project in northern British Columbia. Construction on the line will begin in the summer, starting with clearing and access work along the project's right-of-way. The project includes twinning an existing power line from Prince George to Terrace and creating new transmission infrastructure north of Terrace to Aiyansh and Bob Quinn Lake. The project aims to more than double the existing electricity capacity in the region and create thousands of direct full-time jobs. |
