Description | Completing the last segment of the North Creek Trail within Bothell's city limits., This project will construct a trail along the south side of 208th St SE between the 9th Ave SE/SR 524 intersection and the current end of North Creek Trail Section 3 just west of the Bothell-Everett Highway (SR 527)., This will construct about 0.58 miles of 10-foot wide separated paved trail with a planter strip, pedestrian bridge, structural earth wall, wider culverts, a signal upgrade, ramp work, street light relocation, wetland mitigation, and utility adjustments., Completion of the North Creek Trail system will improve safety for pedestrians and bicyclists as well as encourage non-motorized travel between business centers, transit stops, parks, and employment centers., The project is being spilt into 3 phases due to its size, complexity and cost. Phase 1 was completed in Summer of 2022. Phase 2 and 3 construction is expected to start in Late Winter or early Spring of 2023. The $7.5 million North Creek Section 4 project is funded by a mix of Federal, State and local grant funds., |
