Description | Information National Thermal Power Corporation [NTPC] has come up with North Dhadu -Eastern Part Coal Mining Project with a ticket size of 1000 INR Crores. This project in Coal sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Not Applicable Economic/Social Impact of the Project NML emerged as successful bidder in e-auction held on 02.08.2023 for commercial coal block of North Dhadu Eastern Part. The development & production agreement signed on 29.09.2023. GR approved by MoC on 01.04.2025. Mining plan approved by MoC on 31.07.2025. Consultant appointed for obtaining EC & FC. Environment Clearance: TOR application submitted on 27.08.2025. ToR approved by MoEF&CC on 15.12.2025. Forest Clearance: Application submitted on 25.08.2025. PSC meeting held on 23.09.2025. EDS raised on 26.09.2025. Reply to EDS submitted on 13.12.2025. Land Acquisition under CBA Act: A. For area inside block, Section-4 notification under CBA A&D Act 1957 for North Dhadu EP CMP published on 27.09.2024. Section-7 application submitted on 26.08.2025. MoC has approved the proposal on 14.10.2025. Section-7 notified on 09.12.2025. B. For area outside block, Section-4 application submitted to MoC on 13.02.2025. The proposal is withdrawn on 30.12.2025 due to changes in coal evacuation system and nala diversion. Revised application is to be submitted. Coal production is anticipated to commence from Dec-28. |
