Description | Information Power Grid Corporation of India Limited [POWERGRID] has come up with North Eastern Region Strengthening Scheme-X [NERSS-X] with a ticket size of 40.48 INR Crores. This project in Electricity Transmission sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Completion Certificate/COD and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project This Project covers Construction of 132 kV Roing [PGCIL] - Chapakhowa [Assam] TL along with associated bays. Presently, at least 7 to 8 districts of Arunachal Pradesh is being fed by only one single circuit 132KV Transmission link. An interruption on account of fault in any of the sections lead to large scale outage, thereby affecting a large part of Arunachal Pradesh. With commissioning the Line, alternate path for transmission of power shall be available even with one of the links under outage. This will improve the power system stability of Ar. Pradesh. |
