Description | Information Department of Water Resources, River Development & GR has come up with North Koel Reservoir Project with a ticket size of 2430.76 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project North Koel Reservoir Project on North Koel River is situated in the most backward tribal area of Palamu and Garhwa districts of Jharkhand. In August, 2017, the Union Cabinet has approved the proposal for balance works of North Koel Reservoir Project at an estimated cost of Rs 1622.27 Cr to be incurred during three financial years from the start of the project funding from LTIF. The Cabinet also approved execution of balance works of the project on turnkey basis by M/s WAPCOS Ltd. as Project Management Consultant. Contract agreement with WAPCOS was signed in September, 2017. The projected date of completion is 31.03.2024. |
