Description | The state Thruway Authority has started a $4.9 million project to replace the North Main Street (Route 46) bridge over the Thruway in the city of Oneida. The 72-year-old bridge will be replaced with a new structure designed with updated safety features and improved vertical clearance. The new bridge will include two 12-foot travel lanes in each direction, 8-foot shoulders, a smoother driving surface, new railings, and stabilized slopes. The vertical clearance over Interstate 90 will increase to reduce the risk of vehicle strikes. |
