Description | The project envisages the construction and operation of the Kurtkoy - Akyazi Section which is part of North Marmara Motorway. The total length of the section is 169 KM. The project has two sponsors each holding equal stake - Limak and Cengiz Holding AS. The concession is a build, operate and transfer (BOT) for six years, nine months and 12 days. The government of Turkey is providing minimum revenue guarantee to the concessionaire. The contract was awarded following a competitive bidding process based on highest new investment criterion. The consortium's bid was for TRY 4.5 billion (around $1192.7 million). The banks lending to the deals include: Türkiye Garanti Bankasi A.S., Türkiye Is Bankasi A.S., QNB Finansbank A.S., T.C. Ziraat Bankasi A.S., Türkiye Halk Bankasi A.S. and Türkiye Vakiflar Bankasi T.A.O.
