Description | The project consists of upgrading the chlorination and soda ash treatment to a full water treatment plant at North Pond in the Town of Torbay. The scope of the project includes 3 phases of work. The first includes an assessment of several technologies, including bench testing as well as overall project design. Previously, two studies were completed (2011 and 2019) to look at probable technologies, capital costs and operational costs. The second phase would include building construction and the third phase installation of equipment and commissioning. This project is for phase one only. The aim of the project is to improve drinking water treatment and ultimately drinking water quality in the town. |
