Description | The NESE project involves adding approximately 23.5 miles of 26-inch natural gas pipeline from Pennsylvania through New Jersey to a Rockaway transfer point to increase gas capacity into New York City. The project aims to provide about 400,000 dekatherms per day of additional capacity to National Grid, deliver gas to roughly 2.3 million homes, and generate over $1.8 billion in local economic activity. The undersea segment will be installed at least four feet below the seafloor to limit environmental impact. |
