Description | Three open ended contracts, lease agreement, franchise agreement, and license agreement, have been signed between Northern Electricity (Pty.) Ltd., a company wholly owned by Icon Investments, and the government of Namibia. The agreement called for the total management of the electricity distribution in the northern parts of Namibia. All assets were leased to the company for the duration of the contract period. The contracts were guaranteed for an initial period of 5 years.
