Description | The project will repair the existing municipal recreation center. Activities will include replacement of the facility’s roof, demolition/reconstruction of the upstairs room of the curling rink, replacement of the curling rink’s side wall, upgrading the light fixtures, and installation of sanitizing stations. The existing facility is passed its operation expectancy and not energy efficient and it has been recommended to be replaced. It is important for the health of the community to keep this facility safe and open, as Covid-19 has kept the facilities closed. The upgrade will support the vulnerable population in the community, which are the youth and elders, improve access to recreation activities and enhance safety in the building following the COVID-19 restrictions set out by Saskatchewan Government. |
