Description

Description

The main objective of the project is to comply with provincial drinking water regulations. The elevated ammonia in the water requires the chlorine dosages to often exceed the maximum use levels. Elevated trihalomethanes (THM’s) above or very close to the regulatory limits (one year of samples to be collected). The Saskatchewan Drinking Water Aesthetic Objectives for Sodium, TDS, and Alkalinity are exceeded. The proposed upgrades include the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) mechanical, electrical, building, treatment, and raw water supply line upgrades. There will be an expansion of the WTP and the output of the project is an upgraded WTP. Once complete, the project will result in increased access to potable water.
