Description | The project will rehabilitate and upgrade the existing water treatment facility in the Northwest Angle #33 First Nation in Ontario. The work involves constructing an addition next to the existing water plant with a below ground reservoir with new fire pumps; removing the existing above ground reservoirs, pumps, and treatment equipment; replacing the SCADA control system; installing an upgraded treatment unit; replacing the chemical feed system; and conducting minor upgrades to the existing building. The project will improve the functionality and increase the capacity of the water treatment system to meet current and future demand, and address health and safety issues including community fire protection. |
