Description

Description

OUR EUROPE FOR TOMORROW - AVENIR 2D Project Despite being too often unknown, the European Union is part of our students' daily lives, offering them essential values and numerous opportunities for personal and professional development. Bearing this in mind, our school is involved in the AVENIR 2D project (Apprenons à Vivre l'Europe, échangeons Nos Idées Responsables). This Jean Monnet project aims to strengthen European citizenship and to raise students' awareness of the values and challenges of the European Union, focusing on sustainable development in particular. The project is built along two compatible approaches : integrating European topics into the curriculum, and offering learning experiences through a renewed Club Europe, made possible by the Jean Monnet Action, now reachable to all students from general, technological and vocational high schools altogether. Organized along two progressive paths, Club Europe will offer students a variety of cross disciplinary projects such as game designing, photojournalism experience, awareness-raising filmmaking, radio broadcasting, simulated decision-making exercises at the European Parliament, as well as educational trips to Europe. Each year, the project is structured around a specific theme: Year 1: Environment (Blue Pact and ocean protection, Green Pact and fast fashion, photojournalism on the climate emergency) Year 2: Inclusion (Strategies to fight harassment in the EU, inclusion of deaf children and solidarity commitment) Year 3: Heritage (European collective memory, tangible and intangible cultural heritage) The webradio “EUROVIBES, l'Europe à portée d'oreilles” will be fully realised, enabling students to share their experiences and productions through an annual live broadcast. The project supports autonomy, initiative and civic commitment, by involving students and teachers in innovative teaching methods.
