Description

Description

"The project ""NOE"" - New European Odyssey - was born from the desire of three ""European"" cultural structures dedicated to classical music (one structure dedicated to teaching - the Palestrina Conservatory of Cagliari (Italy)-, another dedicated to dissemination - the Yerevan Opera House (Armenia) - and a third one dedicated to creation-production, the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées in Poitiers (France) to collaborate to develop and promote the international careers of young classically trained European musicians while safeguarding Europe's musical heritage. The project's objective is the creation of a ""laboratory-school"" that will serve as a setting for this training, which is intended to be hybrid and nomadic. The training will focus on both managerial training (acquiring a set of skills to promote and manage one's career as an artist internationally) and artistic training (performance and conducting on period instruments (known as ""historically informed instruments""). The interdisciplinary and intercultural project will be open to participation from young artists from the EU and countries that are part of the Creative Europe programme. In addition to long-term digital training, two ""Academy-Festivals"" will be offered, in July 2024 (Cagliari) and July 2025 (Yerevan) for a period of one week. These academies will allow all participants and their trainers to circulate and meet in person, and musicians will meet all types of audiences: neophytes, aficionados, disabled or remote audiences. Finally, the project aims to provoke reflection on current topics such as ecological awareness, parity, diversity and inclusion."
