Description

Description

Wind Park Novoazovskiy was planning the development of the 120 MW Novoazovskiy wind farm, close to Bezimianniy, Donetsk region. The first phase of the project was designed to comprise 10 turbines of 2.5 MW (Phase I, featuring Fuhrlander FL-2500 2.5MW turbines) and 13 turbines (Phase II), bringing total capacity for phase I and II to 57.5 MW. The first 25 MW of the project was commissioned in July 2011. A generating license for the project was obtained in May 2011. The second phase, comprising of 13 turbines of 2.5 MW (32.5 MW) was to be completed by end-2011, and full commissioning was planned for end-2012. The developer held a 50 year concession. The project was located close to the existing Novoazovskaya wind park, operated by Vetroenergoprom, a subsidiary of Ohkrpodshipnik. The Novoazovskiy project's output was announced to be sold through Vetroenergoprom, itself a member of the wholesale electricity market. Equipment supplier was German Fuhrlander. The Ukraine passed a Feed-in Tarrif law in April 2009. The law also included a minimum euro-denominated electricity price intended to mitigate exchange rate risk, as well as a domestic-content obligation. Total investment costs was estimated at EUR192 million ($255 million). The costs for book year 2011, including the 13 turbine upgrade (Phase II), was estimated at $118.4 millon. The developer also applied for UNFCCC Joint Implementation (JI) financing. The project is listed here as "Financial Closed" for phase I and III, because the project is developed and financed in phases: the first and second phase are completed, and operational since July 2011. The third phase is currently under financing. It was also reported that financing for the last phase of the project was to be provided by a special fund of the national Ukranian budget. August 2012: The EBRD reports it is considering funding the expansion of the project by 32.5MW (Phase III), valued at EUR95.5 million, of which they are to contribute EUR33.3 million + EUR15.5 million from the CIF. http://www.uwea.com.ua/project.php?lng=ENG "On July, 11, 2011 an official commissioning of the first 10 wind turbines of Novoazovskiy Wind Farm took place on the territory of the existing Novoazovskaya Wind Power Plant, Donetsk region, the Azov Sea coast. The investment project Novoazovskiy Wind Farm with total capacity of 107, 5 MW implies installation of 43 wind turbines produced by the German company Führlander AG with unit capacity of 2,5 MW. The project implementation is scheduled for 2010-2014. Currently 10 wind turbines with total capacity of 25 MW have been erected and commissioned. The implementation of the third phase of the project has been started, it involves commissioning of 32,5 MW. The construction of Novoazovskaya Wind Power Plant located next to the village of Bezimyannoe, Donetskiy region, the Azov Sea coast, started in 1997. It is. Before a start-up of a new investment project 169 wind turbines USW 56-100 with nominal capacity of 107.5 kW produced within the framework of the State Complex Programme for Wind Farms Construction in Ukraine under license of Kenetech Windpower and six wind turbines T600-48, produced by the Belgian company Turbowinds with nominal capacity of 600 kW were in operation. As of December 31, 2010 the total installed capacity of wind farm amounted to 21.8 MW. Since August 2011 Wind Farm Ochakovskiy with projected capacity of 25 MW on the basis of Führlander FL 2500-100 has been implemented. Commissioning of the wind farm is scheduled by the end of 2011. The experience gained in Ukraine, once again convincingly proved the fact that effective implementation of wind energy projects begins when a country has a legislative framework aimed at supporting renewable energies, which in turns stimulates the interest of private business to wind power technology." "ov. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Ukrainian energy company TOV Vetryanoy Park Novoazovsky will boost power capacity by 32.5 megawatts to 57.5 megawatts by the end of this year, the company said. The wind farm, located at Novoazovsk in the Donetsk region, will add 13 new turbines to its existing 10 installations, Tatiana Prigornitskaya, a spokeswoman for the plant, said in an e-mailed statement today. The company’s investments this year are expected to be about 950 million hryvnia ($118.4 million), according to the statement." http://www.ebrd.com/pages/project/psd/2012/42988.shtml http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-11-03/ukraine-s-novoazovsky-wind-power-plant-to-boost-output.html
