Description

 The proposed investment is an A-Loan of up to US$24.3million (in Naira equivalent) to support NSIA Advanced Medical Services Limited (“Medserve”), to expand and roll-out medical diagnostic and treatment centers, across 13 states in Nigeria (the “Project”). The A-loan is aimed at financing the first phase of Medserve’s expansion which will comprise 13 new healthcare diagnostic centers, 2 Oncology centers, and 3 Catheterization (Cath) Labs. The centers offer radiology and diagnostic imaging services with the possibility of Chemotherapy..Medserve is a company wholly owned by the sovereign wealth fund of Nigeria, Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (“NSIA or the Fund), through its healthcare platform company, NSIA Healthcare Development and Investment Company (“NHDIC”).  It was newly established to house and expand NSIA’s diagnostics and cancer treatment healthcare business, following a successful pilot of one oncology center and two diagnostic centers in Nigeria.All three existing and operational centers in the current three locations operate within the premises of government teaching hospitals and share basic amenities of the host institutions, e.g. water sourcing and wastewater utility network.
