Description | The NSW Government has developed a state-of-the-art GMP-grade viral vector manufacturing facility within the Westmead Health and Innovation District in western Sydney. The facility manufactures GMP-grade lentiviral and adeno-associated viral vector products for research and clinical trials, supporting gene therapy and cell therapy research. It was constructed in two stages, with a pilot facility and an expanded commercial-scale facility with a 550-litre capacity. The project involved designing and outfitting the facility, procuring specialized equipment, and adding laboratories for quality control and process development. |
