Description | SPML Infra Ltd secured a Rs.1,128-crore EPC order from NTPC to develop a 250 MW/1,000 MWh battery energy storage system at the Barauni thermal power plant in Bihar. The project includes supply and installation of advanced 5 MWh DC battery containers, integration of battery management and thermal management systems, development of electrical infrastructure including 33kV panel boards, 220kV DC and AC cables, 220kV switchyard, auxiliary systems, civil works, erection, testing, and commissioning. The project has an 18-month implementation period followed by a 15-year operation and maintenance contract. |
