The project aims to establish standalone nuclear power generation with a capacity of at least 2 GW by 2032 as part of NTPC's diversification into non-fossil energy sources. Feasibility studies are being conducted across multiple states including Bihar (Banka district), Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. The project involves setting up at least two units of 700 MW each in the states being explored. NTPC is also involved in a joint venture with NPCIL in Rajasthan for a 4x700 MW nuclear power project. |
