Description | NTPC Ltd is preparing to submit its first feasibility study for a standalone nuclear power project to the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) for approval. The project aims to develop at least 2 GW of nuclear capacity by 2032, with plans to develop around 30 GW across at least 14 states in India. The feasibility study includes investment, land, water availability, and other requirements. NTPC is considering setting up at least two units of 700 MW each at proposed sites, including Banka district in Bihar, and exploring sites in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. |
