Description | Anushakti Vidhyut Nigam Limited (ASHVINI), a subsidiary of NPCIL and joint venture between NPCIL and NTPC Limited, is set to float a ₹28,000 crore tender for the Nuclear Island Mega EPC Package (NIMEP) for the Mahi Banswara Rajasthan Atomic Power Project (MBRAPP) Units 1-4, comprising four 700 MW Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs). The package covers engineering, manufacturing, supply, civil construction, installation, testing and commissioning assistance for critical nuclear island systems across the four reactor units. This is the largest Nuclear Island EPC contract under India's indigenous PHWR programme and aims to strengthen India's nuclear manufacturing ecosystem and support the country's clean energy transition. |
