Nuon Nan'ao Wind Farm

The 24 MW Nan'ao Wind Project was developed by Nuon, a Dutch utility (55%) and three Chinese partners (45%). They are: China Fuling Wind Power Development Corporation, Shantou City Electric Power Bureau and Nan'ao Zhenneng Wind Power Development Corporation. The project is located on Nan'ao Island in Guangdong province and consists of 40 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 600kW. Total cost of the project is roughly $30m. The PPA will last for 20 years. The price set for the first year is $0.065/kWh . During the next 10 years, the price will be indexed 3% annually. In year 11, the price will go down to $0.06/kWh and will rise 3% annually for the next 10 years. The plant began operations in June 1998. NEG Micon supplied the equipment, site construction, installation of turbines, and plant operations for five years after its completion. None None
