Description | NuScale Power is developing small modular reactors (SMRs) technology designed to offer lower upfront costs, smaller footprints, and cleaner energy compared to traditional nuclear plants. The project includes U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission standard design approval for 50 MW and 77 MW reactor designs, partnerships for deployment initiatives such as the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and ENTRA1 targeting up to 6 GW of nuclear capacity, and international projects like the RoPower project in Romania. The company is also working with partners Framatome and Doosan Enerbility to strengthen manufacturing and supply-chain readiness. |
