   IFC is considering extending a senior debt facility to Nuvibev SGPS, S.A. (Nuvibev) and its key subsidiaries: namely Refriango – Indústria e Comércio Geral, Lda. (Refriango), Luanday – Comércio e Serviços, Lda. (Luanday), and Wayfield - Trading Internacional S.A. (Wayfield) (collectively referred to as the ‘Group’, the Company, or Nuvibev). This facility would consist of a €30 million long-term loan and a €10 million short-term loan. The group operates within the beverage, agriculture, agri-processing, and retail sectors in both Angola and Portugal. IFC's funds will be utilized to replace and upgrade non-alcoholic production lines and to install Returnable Glass Bottles (RGB) lines at the Refriango Kikuxi plant in Angola. The funds will also be allocated to finance the increased working capital needs resulting from the group's various partnerships with major international beverage companies.Refriango, established in Luanda, Angola, operates a large industrial complex, where it produces a diverse array of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, including mineral water, juices, carbonated soft drinks beer and milk. Wayfield is the group’s trading company operating mainly from Portugal and Luanday acts as the distribution arm and commercializes Refriango’s products via a distribution network across the country. Additionally, the group has established partnerships with strong industrial groups in several areas, namely with regard to plastic packaging.
