Description
Description | Tract Capital is constructing a large data center in Nevada backed by Nvidia, involving the development of powered land with energy access for data centers. The project includes securing over 30,000 acres of land across the US, aiming to equip the land with power infrastructure and roads to support data center construction within five to seven years. The data center developer has two projects underway, with financing secured through a $3.8 billion junk bond sale. The first batch of power is due by October 2027, with 200 megawatts expected by mid-2028. Nvidia has lease protections if 100 megawatts of power are not delivered by March 2031. |
