Special Vehicle Lanes - Programme 2 currently consists five projects handed over from AT Metro for design and construction, include: 1. Lincoln Road T2 Lane - a 24/7 T2 and truck lane on Lincoln Road between Te Pai Place and Triangle Road, by converting the kerbside lane. Other scopes of project includes slip lane treatment at the intersections, bus stop relocation, as well as the introductioon of mid block crossings near bus stops. 2. Triangle Road Bus Lane - an eastbound bus lane 180m long between the bridge and Lincoln Road. The scope also includes to upgrade existing cycle to be protected with buffer, and a new refuge island on the eastern side of the bridge. 3. Te Atatu Peninsula Bus Lane - converting the kerbside lane into a T2 lane for the southbound in the AM and northbound in the PM. The scope also includes upgrading the existing cycle lanes to protected cycle lanes, upgrade an existing refuge to a raised pedestrain crossing, as well as a new refuge island on Old Te Atatu Road near Yeovil Road intersection. 4. Westgate Town Centre Bus Priority - a package of minor intersections improves for buses at Fernhill Drive/Cabernet Crescent and Tawhia Drive/Maki Street intersections, as well as a proposed bus lane on Fred Taylor Drive including cycle lane upgrade. 5. Te Atatu South T2 Lane: Proposed T2 lane along Te Atatu Road to service northbound traffic, operating hours are in AM peak. Total length is 2 km. The project team is aiming to deliver the project by the go live date of 12th November 2023.
